Male Feminist

Never thought to look at the definition of feminists until the word continued to circulate in stories where equality for women was brought up. The word by definition sounds like its pretty straight forward.

feminist advocates or supports the rights and equality of women.

Reading back the definition doesn't really define male or female advocating equal rights for women, but just someone who does. Being in the so-called millennial generation, I have no reservations in where and when a women can achieve success. Thinking of where man is derived from is the body of a woman. Society might try to justify where a woman can succeed or what she must conform to eventually, but that's just an idea. And have we ever had success when history decides to repeat itself.

I will call myself the male feminist as I believe every woman should have the ability to do what she wants just as a man does. Just because it may be awkward or against the rules of where society is now doesn't mean things can't evolve. The reason we keep seeing things in the media congratulating women for their success is all starting to make sense.

As an alpha male, I can do things that would be seen as shameful when a women performs it. The perfect example is sex. I can jack off, fuck, and engage in sexual encounters with more than one person and not be considered a whore as a women would be. Even the way men react to two women making out is a misogynist act. It's the way we have taught society to look at things through a certain lens.

You could even look at Tupac Shakur as a male feminist with this famous lyric from "Keep Ya Head Up"

And since we all came from a woman
Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman
I wonder why we take from our women
Why we rape our women, do we hate our women
I think it's time to kill for our women
Time to heal our women, be real to our women
And if we don't we'll have a race of babies
That will hate the ladies that make the babies
And since a man can't make one
He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one
So will the real men get up
I know you're fed up ladies, but keep your head up

We are still a long ways from loving ourselves, but pretty confident if Tupac of all people can have that mentality, then we can all try to treat each other as human beings just as equally.
