We The People

Years have passed where the glitz and glamour of the presidential election and the chosen one, Barack Obama, won the hearts of millions of Americans. Now that the economy is continuing it's decline and more Americans are out of work, we are seeking the assistance of our government to help us out. It is very disheartening to see such lack of educated people in this country that believe things change overnight.

We are going to continue to see more declines if we the people do not adjust or spending habits and reclaim the American dream of working for ourselves while serving the local community. The private sector will get bailouts because they are what moves this economy. It's sad to say, but the truth of the matter is change on a national level will require sacrifices that we have not even come close to seeing. I am for the drastic change. I want to see people have a conversation and demand from their lawmakers. We have media outlets speaking for us right now and it's embarrassing. I know that our president wants more than this, but when your hands are tied and so much damage has already been done - what do you expect?

Reality will always be more realistic than fantasy and to want something, action must be taken. I have started to draw out plans to put in an extra effort to stop living in this cycle of paycheck to paycheck and see results that I can look back on with pride and a sense of accomplishment.

We always rant about what our government has done or hasn't done, but what have YOU done lately?
