It's very easy for people to get tense nowadays. Since we're all on our toes wondering what will happen to our checkbooks, people have started to freak out - publicly. Americans have always tried to stand for something while being motivated by some type of angst. This then turns into getting mad at things that most of the time no one has any control over. And failure is such a hard pill to swallow when you devote so much energy.
I've noticed more and more in retail that people [want to] have a sense of entitlement. Even though people choose not to protect their valuables, it is my fault for your own wrongdoing. This doesn't make sense. What happened to responsibility?
Now, I'm learning to put a smile on. Not only for show, but to lighten up the mood.
Fucking tense. Loosen Up.
